17 June How To Be Seen In The Best Light

Earlier this week I re-introduced myself as the Director of First Impressions with Agency Performance Partners. I briefly touched on the importance of making a good first impression. Today I'd like to expand on that.

First impressions many times will start with a facial expression. Facial expressions can be received and interpreted in many ways and are the oldest form of communication. You may be familiar with the old adage that it takes more muscles to frown than to smile - which is true, as studies have shown that it takes 62 muscles to frown and only 26 to smile.

Take that in for a second... process it. You might be asking.... ok, but how does this apply to my agency?

When you walk into your agency are you seen as a Debbie downer? or as smiley Riley? Are you dismissive of your surroundings and those around you? Or are you observant and friendly?

Smiles are contagious. Light is contagious. But so is a frown and negativity.

Do you feel that the energy of your office is more "it's a great day to collect a paycheck" or "it's a great day to serve our customers!"

Since energy is so contagious, it is important to make yours worth catching. Be a leader and set the tone for the office. By doing that you are helping to creative a positive environment to share with everyone who walks through your doors.

It is so vital to make every opportunity count. So, turn on the lights and get to crackin!

Have an electrical problem?

Let’s set a time to connect and get your lights back on!
